On the trade front,<br />South Korea's outbound shipments in May made a turnaround from that short fall in April,... rising nearly 14 percent compared to the same period last year.<br /> Korea's trade ministry says the country logged a near 51-billion U.S. dollars of exports last month, making the country's fifth highest ever monthly figures. <br />It also the third straight month that the country's exports topped the 50-billion dollar mark.<br />Imports also surged 12.6 percent on-year in May to 44.3 billion dollars.<br />The trade surplus for May came to 6.7 billion dollars --- the 76th straight month of trade surplus. <br />
